Program Description
The Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance, Undergraduate Certificate will help prepare students for possible Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) credential and Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) designation. It focuses in depth on the foundations of risk management and insurance, enterprise risk management, business law for insurance, commercial property risk management and insurance, and commercial liability risk management and insurance. In addition, students will achieve further distinction by complementing their demonstrated expertise in insurance issues with a mastery of general management principles of finance, operations, and leadership.

Graduation Requirements
The Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance Certificate may be earned by students on a stand alone basis for students who do not intend to graduate from UVU.
For UVU students pursuing a degree the credit hours and degree requirements in the Certificate apply in an identical was as does the ERMI Minor.
1. Overall grade point average of 2.5 in all Woodbury School of Business courses and no grade lower than a C- in business courses.
2. Completion of 19 credit hours consistent with Certificate.
3. Residency hours - 5 credit hours obtained by course attendance at UVU.
