Program Description
The Collision Repair Certificate Program at Utah Valley University prepares students for entry-level careers in the automotive collision repair industry. This intensive program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training, focusing on essential skills such as structural and non-structural damage analysis, panel repair and replacement, refinishing techniques, and advanced welding processes. Students will learn industry-standard practices for frame alignment, dent repair, automotive painting, and refinishing, as well as the safe and efficient use of modern repair tools and equipment. The program emphasizes the importance of understanding manufacturer specifications, safety protocols, and environmental regulations in collision repair. Graduates of the one year certificate program will be well-equipped to pursue entry level careers in automotive body shops, insurance companies, or specialized repair facilities.
