Program Description

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program prepares students for professional nursing practice across diverse healthcare settings with diverse patient populations. Building on foundational ASN coursework, the BSN curriculum emphasizes leadership, care coordination, patient safety, and evidence-based practice. Students apply nursing theory and research to deliver high-quality care and collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Graduates are equipped to use technology in clinical decision-making and promote optimal health outcomes across populations. A BSN is increasingly recognized as the standard for entry into leadership roles and is a prerequisite for most graduate nursing programs, including nurse practitioner, nurse anesthetist, nurse educator, and nurse researcher pathways. Completion of the ASN program is required prior to entering the BSN program.
