The Associate of Science in Public Health is a stepping stone to a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. Students will be introduced to foundational concepts in public health such as disease prevention and building and promoting healthy individuals and communities

Students majoring in Healthcare Administration must complete one of the following: MATH 1050, MATH 1055, or MATH 1090.
Students majoring in Public Health must complete one of the following: STAT 1040, STAT 1045, MATH 1050, or MATH 1055.
Graduation Requirements
- Completion of a minimum of 60 semester credits.
- Overall GPA of 2.50 or above with no grade lower than a C- in core courses.
- Residency hours-- minimum of 20 credit hours through course attendance at UVU.
- Completion of GE and specified departmental requirements.

Program Learning Outcomes
- Describe the role and function of basic nutrients in the human body.
- Discuss categories of drugs and their effects on the body, risk factors for drug use, drug dependence, and strengths and weaknesses of drug prevention programs.
- Describe basic principles of anatomy including anatomic nomenclature, function of organs, and structure of organ systems.
