Program Description

The Educational Leadership, Graduate Certificate is designed for individuals with a master's degree in education who seek to become administrative and instructional leaders in Utah's schools. Aligned with the Utah State Office of Education's standards and the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium, the program focuses on curriculum, instruction, and human resource management for 21st-century schools. The program includes a supervised internship and emphasizes leadership skills, educational policy, and current research on effective teaching and current research on effective teaching and learning.

Matriculation Requirements 

Earned M.Ed. and acceptance into the program.

Graduation Requirements

1. Residency hours -- all courses must be taken at UVU 

2. Satisfactory completion of all coursework with a minimum overall 3.0 GPA

3. All courses passed with a B- or higher

4. Pass state required licensing exam
