Program Description
The discipline of Art & Design allows for interdisciplinary collaboration between the various art forms. This interdisciplinary reality allows for artists to blends mediums or also work to support the various aspects of the Art & Design industry. A background in the visual arts is helpful in preparing for employment in education, business, government, civil and foreign service, and tourism. This degree will introduce students to principles of: creativity and innovation, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, technical skills, collaboration, time management, unique perspectives, & how to communicate visually. Prepares students for upper-division work in baccalaureate programs or for employment and responsible citizenship.
