Program Description
The Art History, Minor complements a wide range of majors, both within and beyond the arts. This minor includes foundational survey courses, as well as upper-division electives covering periods from ancient to contemporary art. This minor broadens students’ skill sets and enriches cultural understanding, enhancing the educational experience for both visual arts students and those from other fields.

- Describe specific art historical styles, movements, and trends by presenting or analyzing visual characteristics, techniques, and approaches.
- Conduct scholarly research and to demonstrate an understanding of current art historical scholarship and academic writing formalities.
