Program Description
Sociology is the scientific study of society which examines the social context in which the individuals live, including cultures, social structures, and social institutions. Sociology is a discipline that describes, explains, and predicts human social patterns using scientific methods and theoretical constructs. The sociology minor program provides strong liberal arts preparation for a host of careers, e.g. journalism, politics, public relations, business, and public administration -- fields that involve investigative skills, critical thinking, and working with diverse groups.
